The secret of its success is that relevant information can be revealed with absolute certainty, by approaching the highest authority – THE BODY ITSELF- which is the “Holder of Information“.

“Kinesiology encompasses holistic health disciplines which use the gentle art of muscle monitoring to access information about the persons well being. Originating in the 1970’s it combines Western techniques and Eastern wisdom to promote physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. Kinesiology identifies the elements which inhibit the body’s natural internal energies and accessing the life enhancing potential within the individual.” (Australian Kinesiology Association)

Kinesiology is the study of the mechanics of motion in the human anatomy; it is the science or study of the activity of muscles, and the functioning, mechanics, and structures of the body parts involved in movement.

Kinesiology is a method of evaluating the functioning of the body on all levels. Kinesiology works through testing muscle strength in response to a “question” that is presented to the body. Kinesiology is a non-invasive energetic healing science. It is very gentle and the experience is quite pleasant. This technique was originally developed by a chiropractor in the 1960s and has since been incorporated into the practice of many disciplines, including holistic health, education, and psychology. Kinesiology is often used by naturopaths – natural medicine practitioners – as an effective and versatile diagnostic tool for assessing various physical, emotional, or mental stresses in the body, including musculoskeletal imbalances and food sensitivities.

Testing the muscle strength is used to find the sources of a patient’s dis-ease, as well as identifying which foods are most conducive to well-being, and those which may cause unwanted symptoms. It is also used to select the most appropriate natural medicine to stimulate healing and a return to good health.

Kinesiology is both a science and an art. The science follows methods, rules, principles and logical techniques. The art involves an intuitive interaction between practitioner and patient in which the practitioner “listens” to the patient’s body literally reveal the nature and source of the imbalance, as well as the corrective prescription.

The efficacy of Kinesiology results from the way it works with the body’s innate healing intelligence. Kinesiology remains faithful to the ancient model that says health problems are the outcome of blocked energy flow within the body/mind system. The blockage may be from nutritional, emotional, structural, psychological, energetic, or even spiritual blocks, sometimes from something as simple as a negative attitude, or a forgotten memory of pain or shame. The range of health and well being issues that kinesiology can impact includes allergies, depression, postural problems, poor performance, learning difficulties, digestive and nervous disorders, and relationship problems. Profound positive changes to one’s physical, emotional, and mental health are often experienced immediately after a Kinesiology session.
